P.Abdul Rasheed
P Abdul Rasheed received his PhD Degree in Nanobiotechnology from School of Nano Science and Technology at National Institute of Technology Calicut, India in 2015. He is a biomedical engineer with masters degree in Nanomedical Sciences. After his PhD, He did postdoctoral fellowships at Korea University, South Korea and in Qatar Environment and Energy research Institute, Doha, Qatar. He received the prestigious Ramalingaswami Fellowship by the Department of Biotechonolgy, Govt of India in 2021. Currently, he is a Ramaligaswmami Fellow at Department of Biological Sciences and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad, India. He is also the recipient of Dr DS Kothari Postdoctoral fellowship from University Grants Commision (UGC) and National postdoctoral fellowship from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt of India. His research interests are nanomaterial-based biosensors, Wearable sensors, MXenes and other 2D materials, biomarkers for neurological disorders, and Biomedical engineering. He has 4 externally funded projects as PI with a total fund of 84 Lakhs. He has published more than 60 international journal publications, 5 book chapters and 3 patents. He has developed two technologies; fabrication of electrochemical sensor from used LCDs and Fabrication of Carbon Yarn Based Conducting Wearable Patch Sensor for non-invasive diagnosis.
